The Diary of a First Time Mom of Twins: The Doctor is In!

Yesterday was  a very long day, both literally and figuratively… The boys and I went to the doctors for their 7 month check up and round of shots:( Great news though, they are healthy and in the 90 percentile for height. Meaning they are taller than most boys their age. Considering I am 5’1 and a 1/2 (thank you very much), Dad is happy. With having twins it’s nerve racking when people compare my sons to one another. “Oh thing 1 is stronger or he’s a little bit ahead…” No they are two totally different people and they will develop at their own rate.

Anyways, my boys got their shots today and I must say it never gets easy putting my babies through that ordeal. It’s like leading lambs to the slaughter. These poor little innocents bright doe eyed boys are trusting me and what do I do let these nurses touch them with cold hands and even worse I let them stick them with huge needles:( I felt so bad. They took the first shot with no problem. The next one was followed by a deep breath and screams. Their big bright eyes filled with tears and the let out their pain. #heartwrenching and I could only comfort one at a time. I felt so horrible. But about 5-10 mins later they were back to smiling:) 20130819-234518.jpg20130819-234533.jpg
