Hey everyone I wanted to do something a little special to say goodbye to 2013 and welcome a promising 2014. This year has been good to me overall. There were definitely some hard times but the good truly outweighs the bad. I gave birth to my beautiful baby boys this year and I have watched them grow and become these little individual forces of their own. It is truly amazing. I remember going to the hospital on Friday, January 4th at 2pm and being upset with Martin for some reason (I was always upset, as he says):). I was so afraid of what was about to happen because this was something I have never ever done before… I have never given birth before and most importantly I have never been a mother before… the anesthesiologist and the doctor were arguing right before they put the epidural in my back and I remember looking at Martin like are they F***ing serious? By 4:20 & 4:21pm I was apologizing to him for being such a mean pregnant lady as we welcomed out two men into this world. I remember crying when I heard their cries. And being so upset that I was unable to see my second son for hours because he had swallowed fluid and had to go to the NICU for monitoring. We were so scared for him and praying that his heart rate would maintain a specific number and he would be ok. Now that little boy is non stop:) thank God!
We have had family & friends visiting throughout the months some great and others a disaster:) particularly my moms first visit and second… I think I went a little crazy…lets just blame it on postpartum.
I turned a year older; had a great party! We traveled to Hartford, Connecticut the boys flew on an airplane and were pros at it. We traveled to Columbia, SC twice! We went to Made in America in Philadelphia, PA and Martin and I felt like the worst parents to have our babies out there…smh but we still were able to see Beyonce perform. Having a boyfriend that is 6’2 helps to getting you closer to the stage in a big crowd:)
I attended a beautiful wedding! #theAlexanders
I started a new job with benefits, in a management position and I have my OWN office with a door:).
My 2014 is looking AWESOME so far I have some things on the calendar already!
My sons first birthday party, my 26th birthday, a trip to DR in June and a Wedding (my wedding) in August:)!!! #Yepheputaringonit #BOWDOWN
I really hate New Years Resolutions and being sad about things that were unaccomplished by the end of the year. It’s really too much pressure to try to accomplish things like that anyway if you really think about it. So I encourage you all to live everyday striving to be a better and higher you. Constantly and ever becoming the person you are meant to be despite the negative people and influences around you. Everyday you wake up overcome your demons and do the best you can and be honest with yourself because at the end of the day you have to live and love YOU.
So here’s to 2014! SMILE MORE. LAUGH MORE. LOVE LOTS. HUG. & LOVE. Be great. Be humble. Be wise. #deuces
