On this day two years ago I gave birth to two beautiful little boys! I remember that day like it was yesterday… The first came out screaming at 4:20pm and then the second at 4:21pm (which happen to be my husband and my birth dates, respectively).
Things 2 was breech and swallowed fluid on his way out so he spent a couple of days in the NICU. It was one of the most scariest things to have to endure and I slightly remember cursing every hospital worker out because they did not take me to see my son until about 2am the next morning. They were separated for a couple of days so it seemed like Thing 1 thought he was the only child briefly. But after many wheel chair visits, praying a heart rate monitor would remain at a specific number and singing “Somebody Bigger” by Whitney Houston. Thing 2 finally joined us!
I cannot believe these little boys a two years old. I remember them screaming all the way home from the hospital. It’s funny that even now, despite them being almost half my size. I feel complete when I hold them both at the same time. This tender age they are discovering and asserting themselves, while also testing the limits of my sanity! LOL. Nevertheless, their growth over these past two years make me so excited and proud to be a witness and share in their futures! These two little monsters have taught me what it means to love and be loved. I am so glad that God choose me to be there mother.
Happy bday M&M’s!
